Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in the body. Having low levels of Glutamine in the body is a sign of overtraining. After-workout recovery, repair and re-growth of muscle tissue is important.

It also has a cell volumising effect. Ideally, Glutamine Powder should be taken between meals or straight after training. A decrease in plasma glutamine levels can occur after exercising. Studies have shown that power athletes can have particularly low plasma glutamine.

Glutamine also affects endurance athletes; after running a marathon glutamine levels are low for 6 – 9 hours. Low plasma glutamine is an indicator of over-training. Nutrisport Glutamine may help replenish low glutamine levels in the muscle.
